2. How to Edit a Past "Closed" Assessment
The VBMAPP edit button is a useful tool that allows you to edit the start date and color of an assessment. This feature can be found on the learner's overview page. By clicking on the edit button, you can make changes to the assessment that will affect how it appears on the Milestone Grids and PDF.
1. Editing the Start Date
The start date of an assessment is important because it reflects the order in which the assessments are sorted. This means that the start date determines where the assessment will appear in relation to other assessments on the Milestone Grids and PDF. To edit the start date, follow these steps:
Once you have saved your changes, the start date of the assessment will be updated and reflected on the Milestone Grids and PDF.
Changing the Color of an Assessment
The color of an assessment is used to differentiate it from other assessments on the Milestone Grids and PDF. This can be helpful when you have multiple assessments for the same learner. To change the color of an assessment, follow these steps:
Once you have saved your changes, the color of the assessment will be updated and reflected on the Milestone Grids and PDF.
Please note: you cannot score past assessments currently. You are able to change and edit the color and start date but not the score. We will be updating this constraint soon where you'll be able to score past assessments.
2. How to Open and Score a "closed" Past Assessment
If you created a new assessment before you had finished the assessment that you were working on, you can delete the most recent assessment so long as it does not have additional scores to those which have been copied over. To delete the most recent assessment, click on the 3 vertical dots in the panel of that assessment and click Remove.
Your previous assessment will then be the most recent assessment and you can click Score in that assessment's panel to make any changes to your scoring.
If the most recent assessment has additional scores to those that have been copied over, please remember to download the data before you remove that assessment. When you have finished scoring the previously "closed" assessment, you will need to start a new assessment and enter the removed scores manually.
Alternatively you can simply adjust the day of the prior assessment you're looking to adjust and then it will be the latest. You can adjust the scores and readjust the day back to it's original!
