Please see the information below explaining when the “bubbles” will be colored in on a VB-MAPP Milestones Grid. This information is quoted directly from Dr Sundberg’s VB-MAPP Guidebook in the General Administration chapter:
“There is a circle below each section for each administration that can be used to indicate that the skill was tested, even though the child did not obtain any points for that section”
Sundberg, M. L. (2008). VB-MAPP guide (p. 25). AVB Press.
Therefore if the learner has scored points in the current or a previous assessment for that particular section and has maintained that score (has not gained any new skills for that particular section), a bubble will not be filled in for the current assessment under that section. The only time a bubble should be colored in is when an operant/level section has been scored zero for all 5 Milestones.
